To preserve historical memory, commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, express gratitude to veterans, and acknowledge the heroic deeds of participants in the special military operation, the President has resolved that the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland shall be held in the Russian Federation in 2025.
The respective instructions have been issued to the Presidential Executive Office.
Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino has been appointed the Chair of the Organising Committee for the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland in the Russian Federation.
Senior officials of the regions of the Russian Federation are advised to implement the necessary measures within the framework of the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland being observed in the Russian Federation.
