The Federal Law has been developed in pursuance of the Federal Constitutional Law On the Admission of the Zaporozhye Region to the Russian Federation and the Formation of a New Entity in the Russian Federation – the Zaporozhye Region and in accordance with the Federal Constitutional Law On the Judicial System of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law envisages the establishment of the Zaporozhye Regional Court and Arbitration Court, and four inter-district courts, one city court and the Zaporozhye garrison military court in the Zaporozhye Region.
The decision on the commencement date of the operation of the courts is to be made by the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law will ensure the administration of justice in the Zaporozhye Region and the implementation of the local citizens’ constitutional right to access to justice.
