Accompanied by Magadan Region Governor Sergei Nosov and Director of the sports complex Maxim Smirnov, the President inspected its grounds. Vladimir Putin briefly talked with members of the children’s ice hockey team training at the ice arena.
The Presidential sports centre, covering an area of 19,500 square metres, is not only the largest in the Magadan Region, but also one of the largest sports and recreation facilities in the Far East. The complex is thoughtfully designed to facilitate education, training, competitions, and classes for diverse community groups, while its facilities can comfortably accommodate up to 248 athletes and 600 spectators.
The sports complex features a wide range of facilities, including a multi-purpose gymnasium for team sports, an ice arena, a 25-metre, 8-lane swimming pool, and a pool complex with water slides, specially equipped to accommodate individuals with limited mobility. Additionally, it offers dedicated halls for boxing, fitness, table tennis, yoga, and a fully equipped gym.
