volunteers in the special military operation zone.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Council members discussed draft
State Policy of the Russian Federation for educating and training cadets, as presented by Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky presented study guidelines and materials
for teaching the history of the Russian Cossacks at higher education

Affairs Igor Barinov briefed the meeting on the preliminary results of the first three-year stage in the implementation of the Russian Federation’s State

plan for implementing the Strategy in 2024–2026, approved by the Government. Ataman
of the All-Russian Cossack Society Vitaly Kuznetsov informed those present
about the involvement of Cossacks in the special military operation and plans

Atamans of Cossack military communities,
Cossacks, benefactors and volunteers received state decorations of the Russian Federation,
certificates of merit and letters of commendation from the council. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In his
opening remarks, Dmitry Mironov noted that Russian Cossacks had proved their loyalty
to the Russian nation: volunteer Cossack units are consistently signing contracts
with the Defence Ministry to serve in the special military operation. The Presidential Aide added that creating a legal and organisational framework for the Russian Cossack forces as the core of the personnel reserves available for mobilisation is one of the current tasks.
Another task is assisting the development

In addition to this, the Alchevsk Cossack Cadet Corps received new equipment, including a computer room, audio equipment and a certificate for acquiring a wrestling mat

Guard Troops of the Russian Federation helped deliver these presents to the Lugansk
People’s Republic.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Alchevsk Cossack Cadet Corps was
established in September 2018. It is named after Russian military commander,
Cossack Ataman, hero of the Patriotic War of 1812 General Matvei Platov. Students
enrolled in the Cossack Cadet Corps include children whose parents sacrificed their
lives to bring peace to Donbass. In 2022, the Alchevsk Cossack Cadet Corps took

present discussed ways to improve the state policy on Russian Cossacks, who have
been actively involved in the systematic work to provide humanitarian
assistance to residents of certain regions of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine affected

Minister of Education Denis Gribov named the winners of the 2022 Best Cossack
Cadet Corps annual review contest and spoke
about the measures to develop Cossack cadet education in the Trans-Baikal,
Krasnoyarsk, Stavropol and Khabarovsk territories, Irkutsk, Omsk and Orenburg
regions.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The participants discussed preparations for the 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; Nationwide Conference
of Cossack Youth and reviewed the activities of the Association of Cossack
Universities (an association of institutions of higher learning that deliver educational
programmes based on Russian Cossacks’ historical and traditional values); the implementation of the Council for Cossack Affairs’ media plan for 2022; and the progress made in establishing the Central Museum of Russian Cossacks.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Letters of commendation
and gratitude were awarded to the volunteers and teams that provided
significant support for the Council’s work. The Council's Award will also be
presented to Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of the Roscosmos State

Second and third places were taken by the Belokalitvinsky Matvei Platov Cossack Cadet Corps of the Rostov Region and the Gorozhansky Cossack Cadet Corps of the Voronezh Region, respectively. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Twenty-three education institutions from different regions of the country competed for the title of best Cossack cadet corps. The students
demonstrated their knowledge and skills including a written test on the history
of the Great Patriotic War, the basics of military duty and military service.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Representatives of the Presidential Council for Cossack Affairs, the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Southern Federal District, the Ministry of Education, the Government of the Astrakhan Region, Russian Cossack Society, and the Russian Orthodox Church took
part in the awards ceremony at the Astrakhan Kremlin. For the first time,

that he was confident that the professionalism of the Council members would be

and strengthening Russia’s influence on new generations of Cossacks living
abroad.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy
to the North Caucasus Federal District and Deputy Chairman of the Council Yury
Chaika reported on the prospects of implementing state policy on Russian
