The message said, in part:
“Your Majesty,
“I would like to express the highest appreciation of the solidarity and understanding shown by you in connection with the tragic seizure of passengers on a Russian airliner by terrorists.
“I also express hope for a swift solution to the questions related to the extradition to the Russian judiciary of those responsible for that inhuman act.
“I regard the high level of cooperation between the authorities of your kingdom and the Russian side during the operation to liberate the hostages as a vivid example of the readiness of our two friendly countries to join efforts in the fight against international terrorism.”
