The message reads, in part:
“Your forum highlights the important role young people have to play in the rapidly changing present-day world.
“I am sure that your work will help the youth of the whole world to contribute more actively and consciously to the search for answers to the questions facing humankind.”
This is the second meeting of the national presidents of the youth chambers of the G8 countries. The first youth summit was held during last year’s summit on Okinawa; and in the future the meetings of the presidents of youth chambers will be held regularly in conjunction with G8 summits.
