President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez and King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al-Saud expressed their condolences to Dmitry Medvedev following the terrorist attacks in Moscow

Numerous messages of condolences addressed to the Russian President continue to come from foreign state and public leaders and international organisations.

Telephone contacts also continue. Today, President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez called Dmitry Medvedev to express his sincere and profound condolences following the terrorist attacks, and declare Venezuela’s readiness to provide all possible assistance to Russia in its just combat to eradicate terrorism and all forms of political violence.

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia also called Mr Medvedev today, expressed resolute condemnation of the inhuman terrorist attacks in Moscow, and asked the President to pass on his sincere condolences to the Russian people. The two leaders reiterated their mutual determination to continue the uncompromising fight against all forms of terrorism, and stated they will continue to develop cooperation with this objective.
