The tournament was organised by the Russian Paralympic Committee, the Healthy Fatherland nationwide public movement for the promotion of sports and patriotic education, and the Russian Sports Federation for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disorders.
The regional teams from Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, Tatarstan, the Perm Territory, the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Samara, and Orenburg regions (as many as 61 athletes from eight regions) are competing in six events at the tournament taking place from October 17 to 19. The events include ping-pong, sitting volleyball, arm wrestling, archery, shooting from electronic weapons, and powerlifting (bench press).
