This should serve to identify external and internal threats and risks to the CIS, and to promptly develop and adjust strategic planning documents that underpin priority state decisions, primarily regarding national defence and combating terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
Preparations for celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War hold a special place on your agenda. It is our common duty to honour the immortal feat of our fathers and grandfathers, to pass on the memory of the courage and heroism shown by soldiers at the frontlines and homefront workers to future generations, to preserve and protect the traditional spiritual and moral values that helped our peoples overcome any trials in difficult periods, and to continue providing a reliable foundation for our friendship and neighbourly ties today.
I am sure that your meeting will be rewarding, and its results will serve to strengthen the security of the CIS countries.”
