On April 30, Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Presidential Council for Science and Education. The meeting was held at the B. P. Konstantinov St Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute. On the same day, Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Geographical Society, a nationwide public organisation.
On May 1, the President awarded Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation medals and title certificates to five Russian citizens.
On May 2, Vladimir Putin visited the Maria Savina Theatre Veterans’ Home where renovations will finish in May, and met with theatre community representatives. He also visited the theatre and cultural complex Alexandrinsky Theatre’s New (Small) Stage.
The President also participated in the opening ceremony for the Mariinsky Theatre’s new building and met with members of the theatre’s Board of Trustees.
