Official visit to Belarus
Vladimir Putin arrived in Minsk on May 23 and had a brief conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the airport.
On May 24, the President of Russia laid a wreath at the Victory Monument before travelling to the Palace of Independence, where an official welcoming ceremony was held. During the ceremony, the leaders introduced the members of their delegations.
Bilateral talks began with a conversation in a restricted format, followed by an expanded-format meeting. After the consultations, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko made media statements and answered questions from journalists.
