Trip to Sakhalin Region. Pacific Fleet drills

Vladimir Putin visited the Sakhalin Region, where he took part in the final stage of the Pacific Fleet drills on board the missile cruiser Varyag. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief also received a report from Commander of the Pacific Fleet Viktor Liina and inspected the vessel. The President also held a meeting on ensuring the security of Russia’s eastern borders.

As part of his working trip to the Sakhalin Region, the head of state also visited the island of Iturup, where he toured the Yasny fish processing complex, the Kurilsk Central District Hospital, and Hero of Russia Eduard Norpolov Secondary School.

Vladimir Putin also held a separate meeting with Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko.

Trip to Novosibirsk Region

Vladimir Putin visited the Specialised Educational Scientific Centre of Novosibirsk State University (SESC NSU) and spoke with students, postgraduate students, and young scientists from the region.

The President also toured the Siberian Circular Photon Source Shared Research Centre (SKIF) and chaired a meeting of the Council for Science and Education dedicated to modern infrastructure and platform solutions for scientific and technological development.

Concluding his trip, the President held a meeting with Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov. During their conversation via videoconference, a milk processing facility of the Siberian Academy of Dairy Sciences company was officially launched.

Trip to Buryatia

In Ulan-Ude, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with leading representatives of urban planning and spatial development at the Dorzhi Banzarov Buryat State University, which also hosted an exhibition titled Far East – From a Comfortable Urban Environment to a Master Plan.

Vladimir Putin also chaired a meeting of the State Council Presidium on the development of public transport in the Russian Federation and launched the Yermakovsky Mining and Processing Plant, via videoconference.

Concluding his trip, the President held a meeting with Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov.

Trip to Krasnoyarsk

During his working trip to the Siberian Federal District, the President addressed the closing ceremony of the Bolshaya Peremena nationwide competition. Prior to the ceremony, the head of state met with participants and finalists of the competition.

Vladimir Putin also had a meeting with Governor of Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov. The governor reported to the President on the region’s socioeconomic situation, including the progress in major investment projects.

Trip to St Petersburg. Navy Day

Vladimir Putin arrived in St Petersburg on Navy Day.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief held a videoconference to hear reports by commanders of the Pacific, Northern, Baltic and Black Sea fleets and the Caspian Flotilla on the operational environment and their performance.

After that, there was a ceremony to present state decorations of the Russian Federation to Navy personnel. The President also held a separate meeting with Navy personnel.

Visit to Omsk, 22nd Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum

In Omsk, Vladimir Putin met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The two leaders took part in the plenary session of the 22^nd Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum.

At the conclusion of the trip, the Russian President held a working meeting with Governor of the Omsk Region Vitaly Khotsenko.

Trip to Kazan. Russia–ASEAN Summit

During his two–day visit to Kazan, Vladimir Putin took part in the Russia-ASEAN summit. Following the meeting, a package of documents was endorsed, and the President of Russia and President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos delivered their press statements.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Russian President held bilateral meetings with the leaders of the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Timor Leste, Cambodia, and with the Turkish Foreign Minister.

Additionally, on June 17, prior to the official events of the summit, Vladimir Putin visited the Cathedral of the Annunciation and the Kul Sharif Mosque in the Kazan Kremlin, where he spoke with parishioners.

On June 18, in conclusion of the trip, the President held a working meeting with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, during which a large-capacity LNG compressor unit production facility in Zelenodolsk was launched via a video link.

Trip to St Petersburg. SPIEF-2026

On June 4, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with heads of international news agencies at the Constantine Palace. After that,he held a meeting with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who was in Russia on a working visit. Later, the two leaders participated via videoconference in the ceremony marking the start of construction of the first power unit of the integrated nuclear power plant in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

On June 5, the head of state took part in a plenary session of the 29^th St Petersburg International Economic Forum, held a conversation with Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng and met with Governor of St Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

State visit to Kazakhstan. Meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council

Talks between the President of Russia and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, were held in Astana. Following the talks, the two leaders made statements to the media and oversaw the signing of a package of documents, including the Joint Statement on the Seven Foundations of Friendship and Neighbourliness between the Peoples of Russia and Kazakhstan.

As part of the state visit, Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also took part in a ceremony marking the launch of construction of the Sirius Centre for Gifted Children in Astana and planted a tree on the Alley of Eternal Friendship between Russia and Kazakhstan, located in the city centre.

Later, the President of Russia addressed the plenary session of the 5^th Eurasian Economic Forum, titled The EAEU in the Global Digital Race: Focusing on Artificial Intelligence, and, together with the heads of other delegations participating in the forum, visited the exhibition, Development of Artificial Intelligence in the EAEU.

The following day, the President of Russia took part in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. A number of documents were signed following the meeting.

In addition, a separate bilateral meeting was held between the President of Russia and the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Concluding his state visit to Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian journalists.

Official visit to China

On May 19–20, the President of Russia made an official visit to the People’s Republic of China, timed to coincide with the 25^th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation.

The People’s Assembly House in Beijing hosted Russia-China talks, following which the presidents signed a Joint Statement on Further Strengthening Comprehensive Partnership and Strategic Cooperation and Deepening Relations of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation.

The two leaders took part in a ceremony launching the Cross Years of Russia-China Cooperation in Education (2026–2027) and visited a photo exhibition co-hosted by the TASS and Xinhua news agencies.

Vladimir Putin also held a meeting with Premier of the State Council of China Li Qiang.

Trip to St Petersburg

In St Petersburg, the President addressed a meeting of the Council of Legislators of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and held a working meeting with Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko.

Subsequently, the President visited the Anatoly Rakhlin Olympic Reserve Multifunctional Sports School, where he presented the Order of Honour to the team of the St Petersburg Regional Judo Federation.

Also, Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Special Representative of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Araghchi.

Trip to St Petersburg. Meeting with the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia. Marking the 82nd anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege

On January 26, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Supreme Ruler of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim at the Hermitage. Following the talks, the President held working meetings with Governor of St Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko.

On January 27, Vladimir Putin took part in commemorative events marking the 82^nd anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi siege.

Working visit to Turkmenistan. Meeting of the International Forum Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future

In Ashgabat Vladimir Putin attended the forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. Following the plenary session Vladimir Putin met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The President of Russia also held separate bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum with President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and President of Iraq Latif Rashid.

The President of Russia also took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths at the Monument of Neutrality.

State visit to India

Vladimir Putin arrived in India on a state visit in the evening of December 4. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi welcomed the President of Russia at the ramp. The leaders had an informal conversation at the Prime Minister’s residence.

Next day, on December 5, Russian-Indian talks and an exchange of signed documents took place at the Hyderabad House. Following the talks, Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi made statements for the media. Later the leaders attended a plenary session of the Russia-India Business Forum. In addition, the President of Russia launched the broadcasting of the RT India TV channel.

Vladimir Putin also had a meeting with President of India Droupadi Murmu. The visit concluded with a state reception on behalf of the President of the Republic of India in honour of the President of the Russian Federation.

State visit to Kyrgyzstan. CSTO Summit

On November 25–27, the President of Russia visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

Russian-Kyrgyz talks were held in the Yntymak Ordo government residence on November 26. After the talks, Vladimir Putin and President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov made statements for the media.

On November 27, Vladimir Putin attended a session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation. Following the summit, the participants signed a package of documents.

In addition, Bishkek hosted bilateral meetings between the President of Russia and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Completing his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian journalists.

Trip to Samara

During a working trip to Samara, Vladimir Putin addressed the plenary session of the 13^th Russia – Country of Sports International Sports Forum and chaired a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports.

The President also visited the Orbita sports and recreation complex, where he talked with young figure skaters and basketball players. The head of state also took part in a videoconference presentation of new sports facilities that opened in Russian regions in 2025.

State visit to Tajikistan. Russia – Central Asia Summit. CIS Summit

From October 8 to 10, the head of the Russian state undertook a visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the state visit, Russian-Tajikistani negotiations were held in both restricted and expanded formats. Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon signed a package of documents and made statements to the press.

On October 9, Vladimir Putin participated in the second Russia – Central Asia Summit, and on October 10, he attended the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On the sidelines of the summits, the President of Russia held separate bilateral meetings with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Concluding his visit to Tajikistan, Vladimir Putin responded to questions from journalists.

Trip to Perm

Vladimir Putin visited the Motovilikha Plants defence enterprise where he viewed a display of promising weaponry and military equipment and familiarised himself with plans to build a new plant – UEC-Perm Engines. The President also talked to the enterprise’s workers and congratulated them on a professional holiday, the Gunsmith Day.

Following that, the President chaired a meeting of the Military Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation.

To conclude his working trip to the Perm Territory, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with the territory’s Governor Dmitry Makhonin.

Trip to the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The Zapad-2025 exercise
