The Government was instructed to analyse and, if necessary, submit proposals on amendments to legislation specifying the capture and use of marine mammals, as well as requirements for keeping the captured marine animals in captivity.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment together with the Agriculture Ministry and the concerned research and public organisations are instructed to decide the future of the cetaceans kept in Srednyaya Bay in Primorye Territory.
Instructions for the Prosecutor General’s Office stipulate the inspection of compliance with legislation on the capture, protection and use of marine mammals, in particular those that are kept in Srednyaya Bay in the Primorye Territory.
