The Federal Law is aimed at improving the judicial system, ensuring citizens' access to justice, maximising openness and transparency, and implementing the principle of the independence and objectivity of court decisions.
The changes concern, in particular, the staffing of the bench in a way that would rule out the influence of any individuals interested in the outcome of the trial. The amendments also provide for the compulsory audio recording of the court sessions in courts of primary jurisdiction and courts of appeal and the right of the participants in the trial to listen to the audio record of the court session and to submit their comments on it.
