The meeting discussed issues of countering illegal financial transactions involving precious metals, specifically gold in bars.
Representatives of the Finance Ministry, Federal Assay Chamber, Federal Customs Service, Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, and the Bank of Russia presented their reports.
Analytics provided by the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring and the Bank of Russia served as the basis for coordinating additional measures to minimise risks related to illegal financial transactions in certain regions of the Russian Federation.
Following the meeting, federal public authorities received instructions and advice on working together and sharing information, as well as on drafting proposals to amend certain laws and regulations of the Russian Federation.
