The President's message reads:

”Friends,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 6th International Arctic Forum The Arctic: Territory of Dialogue.

This is the first time that the event is being held in Murmansk – a city that could rightly be considered Russia’s gateway to the Arctic. The Forum will bring together representatives of government bodies, prominent scientists, and experts. Together, they will engage in comprehensive discussions on regional security and cooperation, as well as support for groundbreaking projects in energy, infrastructure, and environmental protection. There will also be the opportunity to share views on the potential to implement crucial research and cultural programmes.

The theme of this year’s Forum, To live in the North, fully reflects one of our key priorities for the development of the Arctic – the comprehensive renovation and provision of public amenities in cities and towns, the improvement of people’s quality of life. This will be achieved first and foremost through the creation of modern jobs, further economic revival, and a boost to the social sphere. I would like to highlight the importance of improving the region’s transport network, including the port, railway, and aviation sectors. Similarly, it will be vital to ensure year‑round navigation along the Northern Sea Route. The Russian Arctic offers a wealth of opportunities for growth and progress. It is a place where the skills and talents of young people can be put to use along with the expertise offered by professionals across various specialisations. It is a place where bold entrepreneurial, scientific, and creative initiatives can be brought to life. And we are committed to working together with all interested partner nations and intergovernmental organisations in this major endeavour.

I have every confidence that the Forum will, as ever, be held in a constructive spirit, and that the ideas and recommendations put forward by its participants will play a key role in shaping practical solutions.

I wish you every success and all the best.“
