For mass heroism and courage, fortitude and bravery shown by the regiment’s personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in armed conflicts, as well as in order to preserve the glorious military historical traditions, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards Torun designation to the 237th Air Assault Regiment. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 237th Guards Air Assault Torun Regiment.
