The President’s message reads, in part:
“Over the past, representatives of the legendary “winged infantry” etched many bright and unforgettable pages in the heroic chronicles of our Fatherland. Your courage, fearlessness and fortitude will always be an example of genuine patriotism and loyalty to your oath and military duty. These qualities fully reflect your powerful motto, “Nobody but us.” All those who served in the Airborne Forces took cue from to it. Special words of gratitude go to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who took part in brave and daring combat operations.
The current generation of soldiers and officers is upholding and adding to the glorious military traditions, cherishing the laws of the unbreakable brotherhood of paratroopers, fighting valiantly for truth and justice in the special military operation, and honourably defending our national interests.
I am confident that you will continue to make a significant contribution to strengthening the military power of the Russian Armed Forces and to maintaining the country’s defence capabilities and security.”
