The Nationwide Inspection of the Social Orphanhood Prevention System was ordered by the President. The Children's Rights Commissioner's team has reviewed 17 state institutions in the Leningrad Region. Maria Lvova-Belova noted that, compared to the 2022 statistics, the number of children living in state facilities decreased. She offered her recommendations during her meeting with Governor Alexander Drozdenko.
Maria Lvova-Belova also chaired a meeting with regional heads of the institutions within the system of child neglect and juvenile delinquency prevention, members of the commission on minors’ affairs and protection of minors’ rights, and with child protection services.
