Mr Medvedev will submit to the Moscow City Duma a candidate from among the names on the list submitted by the United Russia General Council’s Presidium.
The candidates on the list are Transport Minister Igor Levitin, Deputy Prime Minister and Government Chief of Staff Sergei Sobyanin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev, and First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Lyudmila Shvetsova.
