While in Severodvinsk, Vladimir Putin took part in an official ceremony of hoisting naval flags aboard the nuclear-powered strategic missile submarines Emperor Alexander III and Krasnoyarsk. The President also boarded the frigate Admiral Kasatonov and inspected the ship’s weapons systems.
In Arkhangelsk, the President met, via videoconference, with participants in the Arctic Mortgage programme and chaired a meeting on the development of core communities in the Russian Arctic. In addition, Vladimir Putin visited the Vladimir Bulatov School No 7.
At the end of his working trip to the region, the President had a working meeting with Arkhangelsk Region Governor Alexander Tsybulsky.
