Instructions following a meeting with the public from Crimea and Sevastopol

The President approved a list of instructions following a meeting with representatives of the public in the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal importance Sevastopol that took place on March 18, 2020.

Instructions to the Government conern, in particular, measures to preserve the World Heritage site Ancient City of Tauric Chersonese and its Chora; to restore the 1854–1855 Siege of Sevastopol panorama museum, to modernise its equipment, and to protect the territories, buildings and structures transferred between 2016 and 2019 to the Sevastopol Military-Historical Museum Reserve; to develop and construct a new building for City Hospital No. 4 in Sevastopol primarily using the funds allocated from the federal budget.

The Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Sevastopol were instructed to draft proposals concerning the development of the shipbuilding industry – specifically, the construction of vessels for the fishing fleet, including at the shipbuilding yards located in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. Instructions were also given to prepare proposals regarding the renovation of the Naval School cultural heritage site in Sevastopol and preservation of another cultural heritage site, the Historical Boulevard memorial ensemble commemorating the 1854–1855 Siege of Sevastopol.

Separate instructions were given to the Defence Ministry, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sports.
