The federal law transfers to the government authorities of the Kaliningrad Region, effective January 1, 2027, the powers of the Russian Federation to provide state support to residents of the Special Economic Zone in the Kaliningrad Region. This support is intended to compensate such residents for expenses incurred in paying customs duties and taxes arising as a result of changes in legal regulation.

The President signed Federal Law On Introducing Amendments to Articles 6 and 61 of Federal Law On the Special Economic Zone in the Kaliningrad Region and on Introducing Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
