Trip to Nizhny Novgorod. National Unity Day celebration

Dmitry Medvedev participated in National Unity Day celebrations. In particular, the President attended an official holiday reception and awarded state decorations to foreign citizens for their input into strengthening friendship, cooperation and the development of cultural ties with Russia. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin also participated in these events.

Besides, the President had a working meeting with Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Valery Shantsev and visited the Gorky Automobile Plant, where he learned about new developments and various models of cars in production.

While in Nizhny Novgorod, Dmitry Medvedev also laid flowers to the memorial to Minin and Pozharsky, and visited the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, which is exhibiting the Blessed Virgin’s Belt Orthodox relic.
