Vladimir Putin visited the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – National
Research Institute of Experimental Physics located in the city of Sarov, Nizhny
Novgorod Region.
The President visited an exhibition of research and education infrastructure in the cities
of special significance and met with young nuclear industry professionals. Also
during the meeting, the institute’s staff was awarded the Order for Valiant Labour.
The President also laid flowers at the monument to scientist and one of the creators of the Soviet nuclear project Yuly Khariton.
At the end of his
trip, Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with
Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.
