Trip to St Petersburg. SPIEF 2023
On June 16, the President of Russia held talks with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, within the framework of the 26th St Petersburg International Economic Forum. Vladimir Putin also took part in the SPIEF plenary session.
On the same day, the President met with the world’s first female cosmonaut, Hero of the Soviet Union, State Duma deputy Valentina Tereshkova and presented the Order of Gagarin to her.
On June 17, the President took part in a ceremony of raising the flags of the Russian Federation, the USSR and the Russian Empire on the coast of the Gulf of Finland.
Later, he held talks with the heads of delegations of African countries in the Constantine Palace. Following the summit, Vladimir Putin had a separate meeting with President of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa.
