Russia’s Presidential Representative in the Group 20 and Deputy Chief of the Expert Department Svetlana Lukash held a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission to support Russia’s participation in the G20. The meeting was attended by executives of the relevant Russian ministries and departments.
The meeting participants emphasised that the priorities and initiatives of Indonesia’s G20 Presidency were consonant with Russia’s approaches. They stressed their intention to make a tangible contribution to their full-scale implementation and to confirm them in the final resolutions of the Bali summit on November 15–16 of this year. The meeting participants focused on the specific tasks of increasing Russia’s contribution to the G20 negotiating process with a view to reaching progress in the recovery of the global economy, which is beset by global challenges and geopolitical tensions.
Following the meeting, they agreed on a package of specific actions to enhance the efficiency of Russia’s work and invigorate its coordinating efforts in the G20.
