Taking part in the meeting were the Presidium members, Chairperson of the Accounts Chamber Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Tatyana Blinova, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nikolai Podguzov and others invited to attend.
Director of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service Yury Chikhanchin reported on measures to identify affiliation between managers of companies with state participation and their counteragents when concluding contracts for supply of goods and provision of work or services, and checks of these facts by law enforcement and supervisory bodies.
Mr Chikhanchin noted in his report that the risks that funds invested in strategically important sectors of the Russian economy will be misappropriated by state corporations are still high. At the same time, the report notes that the measures taken will help to reduce the extent of affiliation.
Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Tatyana Blinova briefed the meeting participants on the results of federal agencies’ work to assess corruption risks arising during the execution of their functions.
Ms Blinova said that monitoring the way civil servants whose professional duties entail high corruption risks carry out their work is an important part of anti-corruption efforts.
The measures taken have reduced corruption risks in procurement activity, reduced possibilities for corrupt practices, and excluded opportunities for deliberate falsification of documents by officials.
Chairperson of the Accounts Chamber Tatyana Golikova briefed the meeting on the Chamber’s anti-corruption measures. In particular, 29 candidates out of 128 were rejected for work at the Chamber in 2014 because of failure to comply with anti-corruption legislation.
The Chamber included anti-corruption issues in the monitoring and expert analysis activities it planned for 2014.
Relevant decisions were adopted following the discussion.
