The President was familiarised with operations of the fishery inspection station and fish-breeding plant of the Caspian Fisheries Research Institute (CaspNIRKH). Mr Medvedev watched work to clean the channels used by the fish and deepen the river bed, and saw the release of young sturgeons.
The President later met with amateur fishermen, discussing with them, among other things, the draft law on fisheries.
