Mr Putin noted that the dialogue between Russia and Austria is developing intensively and that the two countries have no problems in their bilateral relations. Trade turnover between the two countries increased by a quarter in 2003.
The two Presidents discussed bilateral cooperation, international issues and cooperation between Russia and the European Union.
President Klestil noted that only through a joint effort with Russia will it be possible to ensure peace and security in Europe.
