The heads of 115 information agencies from almost 100 nations took part in the forum.
At the opening ceremony of the media congress the Russian President stated that terrorists use the capabilities of the media to increase psychological pressure during terrorist acts.
He called on journalists to develop a model for work that makes the media into an effective tool in the war on terrorism, excluding any form, even involuntary, that assists the goals of terrorists.
