Ceremonies marking the 63rd anniversary of the beginning of the Soviet counter-attack in the battle for Moscow were held at the test ground, including a precise military re-enactment of the battle for Moscow during World War II.
The re-enactment involved more than 100 World War II-era armoured vehicles and two regiments of a total of more than 2,500 men.
Following the ceremonies, Mr Putin met with veterans.
The President said that it is a common anniversary for all the peoples of the former Soviet Union.
Mr Putin congratulated veterans with the 60th anniversary of the Victory, wished them all the best.
