It means trust founded on respect for the individual, for people’s rights and liberties and for the principles of democracy, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting held to mark Security Service Workers’ Day.
Russia’s people should be fully confident that their safety is reliably guaranteed and that those serving in the security services are strong-willed, professional and decent people who know how to make the most responsible decisions, who respect people’s dignity and who act in strict accordance with Russia’s laws.
Mr Putin expressed separate words of thanks to the families of security service personnel.
