Immediate measures for the implementation of priority national projects in the field of education, health care, agriculture and housing constituted the main theme of the last State Council session in 2005.
Most of the preparatory work has already been completed and important legal measures adopted which will enable the launching of events associated with the projects.
In 2006 more than 160 billion roubles have been allocated for the national projects. At a State Council session the President declared that it is necessary to allocate these financial means to the ultimate recipients in an efficient way, within the required time frame and at minimal cost.
For this it is necessary to accomplish precise and effective work both at the level of the Federal Government and of the regional authorities.
Vladimir Putin considers that a high level of readiness on the ground will directly influence the productivity of the efforts of all governmental authorities to accomplish priority national tasks.
