Vladimir Putin met with leaders of Russian Islamic organizations

Meeting with leaders of Islamic organizations. On the President\'s left (from the left to the right): Mufti, head of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of the Karachayevo-Circassian Republic and Stavropol Region, head of the Centre of Coordination for Muslims in the Northern Caucasus, Ismail Berdiev, Mufti, head of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of European Russia, head of the Council of Muftis of Russia, Ravil Gainutdin. On the right: head (Supreme Mufti, Sheikh-ul-Islam) of the Central Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Russia, Talgat Tadzhuddin.

The President presented his best wishes to Muslims for the holiday Kurban Bairam (Eid al-Adha) and emphasized that unity of faiths is the best way to strengthen the country.

Vladimir Putin pointed out the importance of ensuring the safe return of pilgrims from Mecca. The head of state hopes that, together with Islamic organizations, the Government will take the necessary measures.
