The message to the French President said, in part: “Personally and on behalf of the Russian people I would like to express the most sincere condolences to you and the people of France on the air crash near Paris on July 25, which caused a great loss of life.”
In the message to the German Chancellor, Mr Putin said: “I am appalled at the news about the air crash in France, which caused the tragic death of citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany. On behalf of the Russian people, I would like to express our sincere sympathy for the German people. Please pass on our heartfelt condolences to all those who suffered a heavy and grievous loss in this tragedy.”
