Opening the session, Mr Putin said, among other things, that Russia was determined to improve the national export control system and to expand relevant cooperation with the EU and NATO. He was emphatic that Russia abided by its international commitments to avoid the export of materials and technologies that could be used for the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction and delivery systems.
