The message reads, in part:
“St Petersburg is once again hosting what is one of the world’s biggest exhibitions of naval equipment. Top defence officials and members of expert and business communities from more than 60 countries will have the chance to see the latest advances in shipbuilding, naval aviation and arms.
As always, Russia’s defence companies have organised a substantial exhibition. Dozens of Russian defence companies and research centres are demonstrating the latest models of our various combat vessels and our latest communications and navigation technology.
I hope that the St Petersburg International Maritime Defence Show’s programme with its numerous business meetings and conferences will help participants and guests to agree on new joint projects in arms production, servicing and modernisation. This will help to develop military technical cooperation on the basis of close international industrial cooperation.”
The International Maritime Defence Show is taking place in St Petersburg between July 3 and 7, 2013.
