Speaking at a meeting on economic issues, Dmitry Medvedev said that stabilisation in the global economy and the Russian Government’s extensive anti-crisis measures have helped to bring about this change in the economic situation.
The President said that now it is important to analyse the experience built up over the crisis period and assess the state of the different economic sectors in order to get a clear picture of their post-crisis development outlook and evaluate companies’ preparedness for post-crisis competition.
Mr Medvedev said that the state will continue its policy of giving support only to the most effective companies that are willing to develop the use of new technology and carry out modernisation.
On social issues, the President said that work on all programmes to boost employment and job creation should continue in cooperation with the regional authorities.
