The film is based on true events. On February 11, 1985, the Mission Control Centre lost contact with the Salyut-7 orbital space station. The station that had been uninhabited for six months went out of control. The crew of Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Viktor Savinykh, the most experienced active cosmonauts at the time, was sent to Salyut-7. Their task was to perform the first ever docking with a drifting spacecraft, establish the cause of the malfunction and bring the station back online. The flight to Salyut-7 is considered to have been the most complicated flight in the history of cosmonautics. The film directed by Klim Shipenko stars Vladimir Vdovichenkov and Pavel Derevyanko.

The screening was attended by former cosmonauts and members of the 1985 expedition Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Viktor Savinykh, pilot and cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka, Head of the State Corporation for Space Activities Roscosmos Igor Komarov, first cosmonaut Yury Gagarin’s daughter Yelena Gagarina and the film’s producers Anton Zlatopolsky, Sergei Selyanov and Bakur Bakuradze.
