The message reads, in part:
“In recent years the National Parents Association has significantly strengthened its productive, creative and educational potential, united a large number of participants from many regions of Russia, including parents, teachers, experts, methodologists, and representatives of NGOs, around large-scale, much needed tasks, and has established itself as a reliable partner to the state in key areas like protecting children's health, raising the social status and authority of the family, improving education and the professional development of boys and girls, resolving demographic and environmental problems, and modernising the relevant regulatory framework. And, of course, the association’s multifaceted activities, aimed at patriotic education of the younger generation, fostering respect among young people for our unique historical, spiritual, and cultural heritage, for the glorious past of our native land, for the feats of arms and labour achievements of our ancestors deserve special recognition.
I emphasise: the family is the basis of society. It is in the home, the family atmosphere that a person's worldview, personal qualities, social and life stance are formed. And therefore, responsible parenthood and a strong, friendly family is the primary guarantee of a prosperous future for children, and the confident development of our society.
I am convinced that the congress will be held in a constructive manner allowing the participants to discuss pressing issues and to share their experience, and that the decisions and recommendations of the congress will certainly translate into real actions and undertakings.”
