One of them is the initiative of the Transport Ministry, the Federal Road Agency and the Russian Highways State Company to hold a Road of Life. Road of Courage. Road of Victory rally. It has brought together representatives of military-historical, volunteer and search organisations, young people, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the participants in the Great Patriotic War. You will cover many kilometres across Russia and fraternal Belarus, visiting Hero Cities and Cities of Military Glory, memorials and military graves. Of course, your decision to dedicate this rally to the heroic actions of military road builders and other workers of the national transport industry during the harsh war period and to their great contribution to Victory is a symbol of the continuity of generations and labour and professional traditions.”
