“Today, we are celebrating our fellow citizens, people of different ages and professions – entrepreneurs and builders, transport specialists, researchers and engineers, teachers and doctors, clergy, and volunteers – in a word, everyone who has proposed and successfully carried out important social and technical projects, achieved weighty positive changes in urban and rural areas and various economic and social sectors, and became true leaders of change. I would like to sincerely thank you for your bold ideas and plans, perseverance and persistence, and your contribution to progress of the Fatherland.
I believe the new award’s name – People Change the Country – is quite accurate and on point. This is truly so, because the determination, creative energy and willingness of every person, of all citizens to work, offer initiatives and be dedicated to bringing benefit to the Fatherland, making life better is the key factor and a solid foundation for our achievements and successes. Most importantly, our multi-ethnic people have a sense of shared responsibility for the future of the Motherland and the fundamental values that unite us. These are, above all, love and faith in Russia, solidarity, being united by ambitious and significant goals, being ready to fight and win and overcome trials. This means that our country will continue to move forward with confidence.”
