Vladimir Putin participated in events honouring the 70th anniversary of the tank battle at Prokhorovka. Together with 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War veterans, the President laid flowers at the Zvonnitsa victory monument at the Prokhorovka Field military history museum and park. Mr Putin also met with Great Patriotic War veterans who took part in the battle of Kursk. Mr Putin also held a meeting of the Russian Pobeda (Victory) Organising Committee on preparations for celebrating the 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. During the trip, President Putin also had a working meeting with Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu.
