a visit to the SPLAV State Research and Production Enterprise, the President
toured an exhibition of civil projects by Russian defence companies, followed
by a meeting on using the defence industry potential to produce high-tech civilian
goods.
Vladimir
Putin also visited the newly reopened Tula Suvorov Military Academy.
Later, at Leo Tolstoy's house museum at Yasnaya
Polyana, Vladimir Putin met with community representatives who had helped draft
the socioeconomic development programme for the Tula Region.
