In Perm, Vladimir Putin spoke at the Sports Without Borders: Openness to the World plenary meeting held as part of the 11th Russia – Country of Sports International Sports Forum, after which he attended the Sports for a Nation presentations and the opening ceremony for new sports facilities in the Ulyanovsk, Tyumen, Bryansk, Kaluga and Magadan regions.
The President also chaired a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Fitness and Sports devoted to sports infrastructure development and providing it with the necessary equipment.
Later the head of state met with athletes who participated in the Ural FC 4, an international boxing and kickboxing competition, which took place in Perm on October 19.
The programme for the visit also included a meeting with Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin and a meeting with General Designer at UEC-Aviadvigatel Alexander Inozemtsev.
