Working trip to St Petersburg
Vladimir Putin held a meeting with BRICS high-ranking officials responsible for security matters at the Constantine Palace. Separate meetings were held with Director of the Office for Foreign Affairs of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi; National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India Ajit Kumar Doval; and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Ahmadian.
Next, the President visited the Annunciation Church of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra and spoke at the plenary session of the 10th St Petersburg International United Cultures Forum.
At the Defence Ministry multidisciplinary clinic of the Kirov Military Medical Academy, the President met with State Secretary – Deputy Defence Minister and Head of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivilyova, and Head of the Military Medical Academy Yevgeny Kryukov. Vladimir Putin also met with Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Danilov, who led the defence of the Malaya Loknya village in the Kursk Region.
Later in the evening, the President held a meeting with Constitutional Court President Valery Zorkin.
