A family composed of a father and two daughters lived in Odessa, while their mother moved to Russia. After the father’s death in 2024, the younger daughter expressed a wish to reunite with her mother. Maria Lvova-Belova helped them and now the family lives in Russia.
Not so long ago, a 15-year-old boy reunited with his father in Ukraine. The boy lived with his mother in the Kherson Region. Maria Lvova-Belova specified that the reunification of children with their relatives in Russia, Ukraine, and other countries was carried out at Vladimir Putin’s instructions. She thanked the State of Qatar for participating in the negotiations with Ukraine, accompanying children and their relatives, and incurring transport and other expenses. The Children’s Commissioner has helped a total of 22 children from 15 families to reunite with relatives in Russia and 101 children from 81 families – with relatives in Ukraine and third countries.
