Vladimir Putin and President of Slovenia Borut Pahor unveiled the monument to Russian and Soviet soldiers who fell in Slovenia in World War I and World War II.

This architectural composition was designed by a group of Russian sculptors and artists, including Maria Tetevyan, Yana Bragovskaya, Stanislava Smolyaninova and Oleg Kalinin.

The presidents of Russia and Slovenia laid wreaths at the memorial.
