The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Sergei Muzychenko, Deputy Energy Minister Eduard Sheremettsev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Dmitry Afanasyev, Director of the Economic Development Ministry’s Department of Competition, Energy Efficiency and Environment Irina Petrunina, and representatives of relevant federal ministries, executive authorities of Russian regions, and the expert and business communities.
In his opening remarks, Igor Levitin noted that the state programme on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Improvement until 2035 now being developed at the President’s instruction should take into account all the economic factors that have changed recently, should be based on best practices from Russian regions, and have the necessary funding.
Irina Petrunina delivered a report on the state programme’s development, its strategic priorities and goals.
Other reports focused on the development of a federal project as part of the state programme concerning construction, housing and utilities; energy conservation and energy efficiency in the housing sector, construction and major building repairs; and staffing of enterprises and organisations with energy saving specialists.
The working group members’ proposals will be taken into account when finalising the state programme on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency until 2035.
